Female Christian refugee murdered by Afghan compatriot in Bavaria

The 38-year-old woman was attacked by the 29-year-old man not far from a supermarket in the Bavarian town of Prien am Chiemsee on Saturday. The German tabloid Bild has alleged that the woman attended a Christian church service, citing the victim’s sister.

The attack took place in front of the woman’s two children, aged five and 11. Before the assault, the man reportedly shouted something in his mother tongue to the woman.

Russia now Ranked Among Worst Violators of Religious Freedom

Russia’s ongoing crackdown on religious minorities, foreign missionaries, and evangelists has earned it a spot among the worst countries in the world for religious freedom.

The US Commission on International Religious Freedom (USCIRF), which flags religious freedom violators for the State Department, listed the former Soviet state among six new Tier 1 “countries of particular concern” (CPC) in its latest annual report, released Wednesday.

It is the first time in the commission’s almost 20-year history that Russia has made the list. A total of 16 countries currently hold the CPC designation, and another dozen are being reviewed as Tier 2. [ Source ]

Eastern Uganda Pastor’s Farm & Church Building Destroyed

A pastor in eastern Uganda is without his home, farm and church building after Muslim extremists armed with swords and clubs rampaged through his property on March 27, he said.

The band of nine Muslims, who also carried blunt metal objects, were shouting the jihadist slogan “Allah Akbar [God is greater]” as they invaded pastor Christopher James Kalaja’s land in Nakabale village, Kaderuna Sub-County, he told Morning Star News.
